Dr Hamish Eske is a Rural General Practitioner who has been working in Renmark since the start of his GP training in 2015. His special interests include chronic disease management, emergency medicine and palliative care. Dr Eske also holds a position as a part time Emergency Medicine Consultant in the Riverland General Hospital Emergency Department and has been involved with the successful transition of the Emergency Department from late 2020.
Dr Eske is the Director of Clinical Training for the Riverland Academy of Clinical Excellence program, which involves recruiting and training more Doctors for the Riverland. Along with teaching for the junior Doctors in this training program, he also assists with the education and training of medical students and registrars with the Renmark Medical Clinic Senior GP’s.
In 2022 Dr Eske won the Local Health Networks award for Outstanding contribution to the LHN, and was a top 3 finalist for both the excellence in clinical care award, and the young achiever award.
Outside of medicine Dr Eske enjoys multiple sports, including: Hockey, Soccer and snow skiing. He has a very supportive wife and 2 young children who constantly keep him on his toes outside of work!
