Originally from New Zealand and raised in country NSW before moving to Melbourne, Dr Dasith Jayatilake found his way back to regional Australia after completing his medical studies in Ireland. He has called the Riverland home for the past three years and has loved becoming part of the local community.
Dr Dasith enjoys all aspects of general practice, with particular interests in skin conditions and lesions, chronic disease management and emergency medicine. He continues to work one day a week in the Emergency Department at Riverland General Hospital, alongside his work in general practice.
He believes great general practice is about getting to know his patients, understanding the bigger picture and providing personalised, comprehensive care for the long term. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and their families across the Riverland.
